Celebrations of 50 years of excellence in Education

VVS Sardar Patel High School has seen this success in the field of education respecting the national interest, societal demands and changes, the community, parents, students and the intellectual resources. We stand strong as an institution who has seen excellence both scholastically and co-scholastically for 50 long years.

This golden period of success from 1975-2025 required a memorable and grand celebration. Hence the whole school came together as one unit involving all the stakeholders and the alumni to rejoice the happy occasion.

 

 

The Golden Jubilee Curtain Raiser -12/09/2024

 

 The curtain raiser of the Golden Jubilee celebrations was organized on the 12th of September 2024 and was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Padmashree Dr. C. N. Manjunath (M.P.). He was warmly welcomed by our Chairman, Late.Shri P. G. Dwarkanath, Vice Chairperson, Smt. Lakshmi Narasu, distinguished members of the Management Committee, the Heads of Institutions, and our Headmistress Smt. Vanishree Deshpande.

The program commenced with a March-Past presented by the students representing all the institutions, showcasing discipline, unity, and school spirit. A melodious Welcome Song set the tone for the celebrations, after which the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp took place, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and the guiding light of education.

The highlight of the ceremony was the Unveiling of the Golden Jubilee Logo by the Chief Guest, marking fifty glorious years of VVSSPHS’s contribution to learning and character building. This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by the Head Mistress Smt. Vanishree Deshpande. The dignitaries were then felicitated with small tokens of respect and gratitude.

The celebration continued with impressive Physical Displays, starting with an inspiring Yoga Presentation by the boys of Grade 9, demonstrating discipline, balance, and holistic development — values deeply embedded in the institution’s culture. The celebration proceeded with a delightful Badminton Dance performed by the students of Grade 4, showcasing coordination, rhythm, and youthful energy. This was followed by a well-executed Cane Drill by the boys of Grade 8, which highlighted discipline and teamwork. The Flower Dance by the students of Grade 7 added grace and beauty to the stage, while the Dumbbells Display by the Grade 8 girls demonstrated strength, rhythm, and perfect synchronization. The Grade 9 girls then performed the Lazim Drill, impressing the audience with agility and uniformity. The cultural pride of Karnataka was brought alive through the Kamsale and Katti Varase folk dance performances by the Grade 10 girls, bringing vibrance, tradition, and cultural rhythm to the program. This was followed by an exciting Gymnastics Display and Pyramid Formation presented by the students, which drew loud appreciation from the gathering for their balance, dedication, and teamwork.

After the performances, the Chief Guest Padmashree Dr. C. N. Manjunath, delivered his address where he appreciated the institution’s legacy and encouraged students to uphold values, discipline, and academic excellence. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Asst. Head Mistress Smt. Anitha Ravi expressing gratitude to one and all involved.

 

 

 

The Valedictory of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations-22/12/2025

 

The Valedictory of the celebrations was organised on 22nd of December 2025 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. Shri Chiranjeev Singh, Former Ambassador, UNESCO graced the occasion as the Chief Guest . The event was presided over by our respected Chairman Shri.H.N.Suresh. Our Vice Chairperson Smt. Lakshminarasu.N.H. and our secretary Shri. S. Hariprasad were the guests of honour for the event.

The event began with the recitation of the Medha Suktham by the boys of 8th and 9th standard followed by the formal presentation of the school history by Smt. Anitha Ravi,

 Asst. Head Mistress, VVSSPHS. Then the chief guests, all the dignitaries and the honourable members of the management committee enjoyed the orchestral extravaganza by our talented young musicians. Our beloved Head Mistress, Smt. Vanishree Deshpande officially and whole-heartedly extended a warm welcome to everyone, who had honoured our invitation and were a part of our celebration. The honorable Chief Guest shared his words of wisdom on encouraging the vivid talents and imbibing the Indian culture and traditions in the youngsters. Then it was the time to felicitate the chief guest and all the dignitaries for which our extremely artistic students had handcrafted beautiful flower baskets as a part of our ‘sustainable management’ initiative. The honorable Chief Guest Shrim Chiranjeev Singh and our revered Chairman, Shri .H.N Suresh unveiled the cover page of the special eduof the school magazine Aarohi. This was followed by the presidential address by the respected Chairman Shri.H.N.Suresh.

Then a fiesta of spectacular cultural programmes named Kalavaibhava set the stage on fire. This included a dance drama on Dasha Avathara of Lord Vishnu, vibrant dance performances by our 8th and 9th standard girls, Dollu kunitha, Kamsale, Mallakamba, Pattakunitha, Veeragase, Mailukunitha, a drama on Charlie’s Chocolate Factory in Kannada and ended with the much-awaited semi-classical performance on the most famous number Varaharoopam. The day was concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Smt. Pushpa, Senior Staff, VVSSPHS.

The grandeur and success of the event is dedicated to our hardworking students, committed teachers and staff, most co-operative parents, highly encouraging management and our visionary headmistress. The preparations for the same involved 2 months of rigorous training and practise sessions by Mr. Vinay and his enthusiastic and creative team.

 

 

The Golden Jubilee celebrations of VVS Sardar Patel High School was a testament to the institution’s enduring legacy. Over the past 50 years, the school has remained true to its core values while also adapting to the changing times. The event was a fitting tribute to the generations of students, teaching and non-teaching staff who have contributed to the school’s success, and it set the tone for the exciting future that lies ahead.
