The Golden Jubilee of VVSSPHS School marks a significant milestone in the institution’s history, celebrating 50 years of academic excellence, character building, and community development. Established with a vision to provide holistic education, VVSSPHS has grown over the years to become a beacon of learning, shaping countless young minds and producing leaders in various fields.
The Golden Jubilee curtain raiser celebration of VVSSPHS was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Padmashree Dr. C. N. Manjunath (M.P.). He was warmly welcomed by our Chairman, Shri P. G. Dwarkanath, Vice Chairperson, Smt. Lakshmi Narasu, distinguished members of the Management Committee, the Heads of Institutions, and our Headmistress Smt. Vanishree Deshpande.
The program commenced with a March-Past presented by the students representing all the institutions, showcasing discipline, unity, and school spirit. This was followed by the Guard of Honour accorded to the Chief Guest and a vibrant Band Display, which added pride and grandeur to the occasion.
A melodious Welcome Song set the tone for the celebrations, after which the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp took place, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and the guiding light of education.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Unveiling of the Golden Jubilee Logo by the Chief Guest, marking fifty glorious years of VVSSPHS’s contribution to learning and character building.
This was followed by the Welcome Address delivered by the Head Mistress Smt. Vanishree Deshpande, extending greetings to all present and reflecting on the school’s remarkable journey. Felicitation of the dignitaries was then conducted in recognition of their support, guidance, and dedicated service.
The celebration continued with impressive Physical Displays, starting with an inspiring Yoga Presentation by the boys of Grade 9, demonstrating discipline, balance, and holistic development — values deeply embedded in the institution’s culture. The celebration proceeded with a delightful Badminton Dance performed by the students of Grade 4, showcasing coordination, rhythm, and youthful energy. This was followed by a well-executed Cane Drill by the boys of Grade 8, which highlighted discipline and teamwork. The Flower Dance by the students of Grade 7 added grace and beauty to the stage, while the Dumbbells Display by the Grade 8 girls demonstrated strength, rhythm, and perfect synchronization. The Grade 9 girls then performed the Lazim Drill, impressing the audience with agility and uniformity. The cultural pride of Karnataka was brought alive through the Kamsale and Katti Varase folk dance performances by the Grade 10 girls, bringing vibrance, tradition, and cultural rhythm to the program. This was followed by an exciting Gymnastics Display and Pyramid Formation presented by the students, which drew loud appreciation from the gathering for their balance, dedication, and teamwork.
After the performances, the Chief Guest Padmashree Dr. C. N. Manjunath, delivered his address where he appreciated the institution’s legacy and encouraged students to uphold values, discipline, and academic excellence. The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Asst. Head Mistress Smt. Anitha Ravi expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, parents, teachers, and well-wishers for making the Golden Jubilee celebration a grand success.
